The wisdom of a turtle lives deep in my heart. ’ll never forget diving in the Yasawa Islands in Fiji and again in Hanalei Bay, and both times out of nowhere, a big sea turtle 🐢 just appeared beside me. I stopped moving. Time stopped. It was one of those life moments that shifts something inside you. It made me feel small in the best way, like all my problems were insignificant .. like the ocean was reminding me how big and ancient and beautiful life really is. My type of history lesson 📚 And here was this turtle… just gliding past me with no worries, no rush and completely confident and powerful.. like it’s been doing for millions of years. A Fun fact I shared with Kash that you may know ? Turtles have existed for over 200 million years they were here long before the dinosaurs. And still, they move slow, carry their home on their back, and never rush. Although the Brahminy Kite is one of my totem animals soaring through the sky. The turtle is definitely a part of me & that those two encounters changed my perspective on life. Maybe that’s why I love them so much. They remind me to slow down. To trust.
